This is tonight...
My friend Marjorie Campbell is having her first opening at Alison Milne Gallery tonight.
I met Marjorie many years ago as we were both members of the Cabbagetown craft circle. :-)
She makes beautiful felt sculptures and is a very sweet person. Added bonus! Cocktails from the Martini Club.

Inspiration: Isabella Blow + Fashion Blows show
Last week I went to the fantastic Fashion Blows show at The Room at The Hudson's Bay.
With her very quirky looks and incredible fashion sense I was immediately inspired to do some sketches of her.
Isabella in fantastic hat by Philip Treacy.
My Sketch.
Loved Loved that wild Mouth "head piece" also by Philip Treacy and her helmet in the video.
Another sketch.

Some photos from a very warm and cozy Thanksgiving.
Many hands and plates for a big Turkey dinner at the cottage.
Is there anything better?
Bliss - reading on the cottage's screened in porch.

My Kitchen reno - Before and After!
My kitchen has been finished for a few months now. Finally found some time to post some photos.
The design and all work was done by my friends Calder + Kevin of Creative Integrity.
Can't say enough about these guys - their ideas, skills and attention to details is stellar.
Just thrilled with their work.
1. Switched out cupboard doors for glossy white IKEA ones and counter for IKEA butcher block
2. Installed microwave above oven to double the counter space
3. Built storage above
4. Switched out appliances for new stainless steel ones
5. Installed potlights and 2 pendant lights
6. Installed white subway tile backsplash
Calder suggested I continue the subway tile on the right side wall - and so glad he did.
Love how it looks!
The lights were a gift from my friends Sasha + Al and were salvaged from the Brooklyn Shipyards! I think the rust on them matches well with the old timey feel of the subway tile and warms up the glossy white.
This next Before and After shows a good view of the storage above

My Brooks Brothers in London
The sweet customer from London who purchased my Brooks brothers suit print last week sent me this photo from the framing shop.
I love the weights they use to hold the paper down. Tres elegant. Thanks Simon. xox

Inuit Art Quarterly Launch
Last week I attended the relaunch of Inuit Art Quarterly:
a fabulous magazine which is published by The Inuit Art Foundation.
I love Inuit art so for me the entire magazine is delicious!
I especially enjoyed Patricia Feheley's article on the genesis of the Modern Inuit Art market.
