New Sketch: Jack of Spades



















I went to see Snow White and the Huntsman a couple weeks ago and it's put me in a medieval mindset - full of knights, + queens + suits of armour.

I don't know how to interpret your "Jack of Spades" with a blatant CLUB drawn in the corner. It's a lovely drawing, certainly, but hard core card players will sadly note that both of his eyes are visible. You may have heard the phrase "one-eyed Jack" before? This refers to playing cards where two of the Jacks (hearts and spades) have only one eye showing. But then again your Jack is decidedly Clubs. Huh.

Despite this, I'm happy to have stumbled upon your work. It's delightful on so many levels.
